PENAMPANG. "The Faith Caring Home is a place where
Human Angels are doing God's work for all," says MP and Minister of
International Trade Industry Datuk Darell Leiking after visiting the
centre at Limbanak Sunday.
He presented donations, supplies
and personal items to female intellectually challenged trainees staying
at the centre accompanied by the Penampang Act of Kindness Association
led by Jefrey Leiking.
Meanwhile, Pastor Avis Chong the lady
behind the realisation of this home said this is the first time a full
minister visited at his own time without official event giving joy and
motivation to everyone.
The establishment of this
rehabilitation home started with a humble beginning in 2008 after the
pastor witnessed a classmate ending in tragedy due mental distress. The
new home operated by volunteers lies in a secluded area with a quiet but
serenely beautiful hills surrounded with flowers and vegetables
operated by the trainees, which is conducive for healing and recovery
process.
Recently another building has just been completed which will house male trainees as well as provide many other needed facilitiesFOR THE ALBUMS... kio
