Darrell Leiking, MP for Penampang launced Warisan Sabah Logo at Kg Terawi 22nd April 2017

PENAMPANG. We do not use race or religion to gain support unlike BN, the way forward for us is to unite all Sabahans regardless, said Parti Warisan Deputy President Darrel Leiking when launching their house to house introduction of logo party struggles at Kg Terawi here. He informed that simultaneous event is held at all parliamentary constituency statewide.

Singapore has done it why not us, he asked. Singapore has no resources but have brains. We Sabahans have brains and I have met them working in Singapore as successful managers of their own companies in computing and even satellites. The problem is we had been led to believe that Semenanjung leaders are everything and any leaders from Sabah with links to them are also everything. Yet we cannot even get 20% oil royalty. He said he just found from friends in Sarawak that they have passed a Gas Supply Ordinance and all exploration of gas there must go through a state agency, why not Sabah? Even the buildings of UniMAS belong to Sarawak but our UMS is fully owned by the federal, we don’t even a learning institution, he said.

Sarawak in now forming its own bank where federal is paying all the money owed to the state, he said.
After the short speech, Darrel and his committees then proceeded to distribute flags and logos to the surrounding houses.
